Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to help us develop our collections by suggesting materials. The decision to purchase materials is based on the NCC Libraries’ Collection Development Policy, collection needs, and budget limitations. Items that have a subscription such as a periodical or database and/or a cost of more than $175.00 will be approved or denied by the Director, Library Services. If multiple copies of the item are suggested, then the Director, Library Services, will approve or deny the suggestion. Suggestions should be directly connected to a course, program, assignment, or college initiative. The library does not purchase textbooks. Be advised that generally, books take a month to order, receive and process; however, there is no way to predict availability from the publisher.
